Challenge:
A large health system had begun its implementation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in 13 departments throughout the organization. A majority of the Bots were scheduled and in an unattended scenario performing back-office functions. Due to the current inability to scale human capital in the organization there was a need identified to take the automation to the next level and provide more value to its employees as they spent of most of their day performing “work about work”.
The organization wanted to create a vehicle in which Digital Assistants could be identified, created, and run at scale for thousands of employees to save time that could be repurposed doing higher value work either with patients or other revenue generation tasks. During the discovery process of which Digital Assistant candidates could be identified, there was a shortage of strong use cases.
Solution:
By utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) on the UiPath Enterprise Platform, CampTek Software was able to automate the entire process. The process timeline from analysis, development, client acceptance and going live was a mere four weeks from start to finish. The 400+ claims/week job runs daily with 99% success on the industry leading CampTek White Glove Hosted Orchestrator SaaS platform. The expected ROI based on labor cost avoidance and rise in transaction volumes with transaction growth from 222% in year one to 509% in year three. This automated process has also significantly improved the accuracy of data entry resulting in a 0% business exception rate. Lastly, they’ve reported an improved satisfaction with the human workforce who can now focus on higher value tasks. Also, with the success of this first RPA Bot, the customer has now identified at least 2 other projects for automation in the near term.
